It was exactly what we needed: spotless room with good airco right in the city center. Staff very friendly and good breakfast. Room for sleeping only. Parking 16 euro per night, about 400 meter walk. Recommended for short Stay, couples or families with older children.

Our stay at Backmulde hotel was most enjoyable. The proximity to “everything “ was amazing! We’ll stay again!!

Our favourite place to stay in Heidelberg...In food price range and value for money. Delicious breakfast, friendly and caring staff, car park and clean, renovated rooms in a quiet location in the wonderful old town.

Great meat (duck, salad w lardons), very friendly service, nice atmosphere ... non-meat things (salad with pumpkin, pasta with mushrooms) not so great

Good basic hotel. More of a guesthouse than a hotel. No bed side tables and no sitting chairs. On the plus side, Superb Breakfast. Very quite and yet a mere 50mtrs from the main Street. Shall visit again if in Heidelberg.

Despite the large table kept the wait staff busy they were attentive and helpful in serving us.Veg soup, calf liver, a mini creme brûlée and a selection of sheep and goat cheese were our evening enjoyment with drinks. To go back they ordered a cab door to door.They operate culinary classes too.

This is a great hotel directly in the center of Heidelberg. The room was perfect and it was always kept clean. Our only problem was getting in and out of the parking lot on a very narrow street. We never knew if we were going to get a spot until we arrived at the hotel.
