I studied abroad in Hannover and found this gym. Overall, my experience was negative. The gym is huge. Three different training rooms and an area to hold events, but some of classes and instructors were disappointing in technique and structure
The gym has multiple classes that vary: Wrestling, Jujitsu, Kickboxing, Boxing, MMA and Krav Maga. I did not try Krav Maga, but its seams like an okay cardio class. It's great if you want a workout. I have trained wrestling for four years, Jujitsu for two, and Striking for almost a year. I do not know how well Krav Maga translate into combat sport. I have never seen a UFC fighter as a master of Krav Maga. I have not trained the Boxing class, but the instructor seems competent and teaches good techniques. Wrestling as well. The wrestling class, is not as popular but the instructor and technique is on a competitive level. My problems were with the MMA and Ju-jitsu classes. The instructor taught techniques I have never heard of and did not seem applicable( taking back and pulling opponent down by the hips). I would normally teach a Gable grip, but it's not my class.
My biggest concern was that our instructor is a brown belt, and he never rolled with the class or at any time as far as I have seen. Therefore I do not know his ability in BJJ. A brown belt should be rolling every class with his or her students, unless some type of injury prohibited it. Also, the instructor came in late often and would text and make phone call during class.
I made a mistake signing the contract. A few other members and I expressed the our concerns and were told we do not have to continue going to gym, but of course would still have to finish contract. I understand that a contract is a contract as they told us, but I thought the members' happiness would be more important. I was wrong.
With this said, I would not recommend this gym to any of my friends.
