Cheep option for a short stay in hannover.
The WC is fairly clean but the number of WC per shared room is very less. So one has to wait during busy hours.
Beds are 2 or 3 tier. And are fairly comfy.
The restaurant serves typical European food and is on the expensive side. But there is a common kitchen (not too modern and sometimes less clean) which can serve the purpose only if you bring basic grocery along.

Pretty good overall, there is a supermarket not too far down the road, a gym pretty close too (fitness first). The beds and lockers were really good, kitchen was OK. Showers are communal but good pressure and clean.
The days I was there the trams were not running which made the location a bit impractical. If the trams were running it would have been only a 10 minute tram from the center. They also hire bikes but it is about a 45 minute ride into the center.

The rooms were okay, could use some improvement on the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Now it would've been an pleasant stay at this hostel, but:

The staff at the restaurant was absolutely horrible! We went there for the brunch buffet the next morning. Apparently the hostel visitors are not being treated the same like the hotel visitors! We were asked to move to a different table, and none of the people there were friendly or at least trying to make us feel like we are welcome. Would definitely not recommend this if you want to be treated like a GUEST! Still very angry about this experience, as you can tell.

Perfectly good to sleep in and has great connections in and out of town... but aside from the beer garden there isn't much around . If you want a lively social hostel it's not for you but for a family or if visiting only for a couple of nights it's very comfortable and perfectly clean.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. Got a great night's sleep. There was 6 of us to a room, so it's not the most private of over night stays, but for what we needed (band on tour, trying not to spend any money!) it was perfect.

There was no staff in the hostel itself after checking in at the hotel across the car park. Kitchen was filthy but the weird communal showers were quite clean. The bunks had privacy curtains and the bedding was clean. Lockers secure but not big enough for all luggage and I slept with my back back at the foot of my (top) bunk. Quite a long way from the city centre but there is a tram stop across the street. This is the much cheaper of only two hostels in hannover.

DO NOT STAY HERE! They do not state on their website that they double as a shelter for homeless individuals but when I arrived the room I stayed in was occupied by people who were clearly long term residents. I am fully in support of hostels providing beds for individuals who are homeless but I do believe that have a duty to inform prospective guests of this before booking a room. As a solo female traveller I was not warned before I booked it on arrival and entered into a room in which I felt neither safe or comfortable. There was a full blown drunken fight going on in the room to was meant to be staying in- when I explained this to the reception and asked for help removing my stuff (because I felt unsafe) they handed me a key and offered me no help.
