I stay regularly and it used to be a fabulous hotel. It had everything one needs when travelling and an efficient and professional service. The service has in recent months become poor - it has been delegated (on weekends at least) to a bunch of people who are clearly new to Germany, speak basic German and no English and who, instead of adhering to the local professional standards, have brought with them a very poor customer service culture. Impolite, rude even, unattentive, speaking at me in their own language, lots of mooching around and chatting to their mates in their native language rather than working, the reception desk left unattended for long periods of time, poor dress code, being at work with their underage children including getting their children to serve customers and leaving children unattended in the hotel (is this even legal?). Last time I stayed there I found a child who was barely 10 sitting on his own in the dark in the utility room watching violent adult films in Russian on his own. I found him because I heard loud sounds of violence from the corridor and tracked them to the utility room. What's happened to such a lovely hotel?
