The U-boat is interesting. But it is very old and they should probably update/clean the interior a bit. You can book without a tour, but if you do you get stuck in between tours, which can lead to pretty long waiting times inside. 3 out of 5 stars.

Pretty cool place for the kids. 9€ for adults and 6€ for students. Won’t take too long for the visit. Long walk from the Miniatur Wunderland. If bus 2 runs, suggest to take bus. Pass fish market. Crowded with people in restaurants. If weather is good, walking OK….take about 30 minutes.

The U-Boat Museum is cool. It’s a preserved Soviet U-Boat, and you climb through the port holes from tail to front. The port holes are a bit snug, and I might not recommend this for someone older who cannot pull themselves through.

It is so cool to be inside this submarine! It was one of my coolest experiences in Hamburg! This is a Russian submarine and was in actual use! I absolutely recommend going here. I actually went here a second time and still enjoyed it. It's about 7 euros per person. You can touch all the buttons and levers inside the submarine aswell. I wouldn't recommend this if you are very tall and don't like bending over ????. Also this is not wheelchair inaccessible.

Excelent experience, beautiful place to visit. Since submarine is small it may feel very claustrophobic in some sections yet fun of visiting it is compensating it.

Also if you are very big going through sections shafts can be a bit problematic XD

Only negative point was that guided tours where available in German language only what is a bit problematic if you traveling and expecting international visitors. Also due to it, command room was not available for visiting since it is available only with gieded tours in only one language :-( :-( :-(

I hope this will change some time soon.

Very cool museum that gives you both the opportunity to see inside of an U-Boat and an impression of how life is on board.

We would have loved to visit! We walked 2 kms to get there but unfortunately, the lady at the entrance told us that all explainations during the visit were in German...the funny thing is that she told us that in perfect English... I have a hard time understanding that tourist's attractions in Europe may still be in one language only... Such a shame for us...
