Exceptional steak house at Sternschanze. The restaurant is very traditional, friendly service, lively ambiance, and incredible meat and side dishes!

As vorspeise, we ordered snails and tartar, yum!
For the main course, a juicy steak filet accompanied with mushrooms, spinach, and fries.
The meat quality is top notch ????????

We had an excellent meal here. For me it was smoked eel to start, with the lamb and rosemary sauce for the main course, along with spinach and green beans. My wife had the shrimp cocktail as a starter, with the beef Stroganoff and baked potato. Generous portions and great food.

Not in the most prominent spot, right next to the meat market, but certainly one of the top locations for a huge selection of different steaks. Considering today's (Jun22) situation also still a good call for meat lovers for a good quality-to-price ratio.

Incredible dinner in a legendary establishment that should have way more attention. I’m shocked I found this place on Google maps and not in an Eater article. Filet was delicious as were the sides of spinach and potatoes. Will be coming back…perhaps tomorrow night even

No wonder this place has been known for serving the best meat in Hamburg for decades, exceptional quality, friendly staff, beautiful u0026 lively ambience and surely a place that leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommended, one of Hamburg's best!

The best steak house in Hamburg next to the central meat market. The meat was INCREDIBLE!!!! Nice atmosphere, a bit loud . Have to go place in Hamburg in a not so good neighborhood
