Beautiful graffiti place but understanding from a person living in Hamburg here lots of protests are happening, mostly by extreme left political activists.

We did not go inside, just walked around the building. In the back there is a skate park which is now full with graffiti as well, gorgeous scene!

In the porch of the building, lots of homeless are sleeping and asking for money. Not the most pleasant place to be in Hamburg but beautiful.

We didn’t go inside. It is a political activist community center, or at least that is what we read. Can be a bit intimidating. There are homeless beds in front of the theater, they look nice and cool and chill. Do check the graffiti in the back park. Amazing!

Insane concrete flow, with some big vert sections linking into a clamshell and smaller ramps

Epicentre of alternative movement in an abandoned theatre house. Ultimate hotspot for neo-liberals and future of revolution. Conservatives shun this spot and have appealed for its shutdown

Although the place were very authentic, but as we asked for permission to get in and take some photos, although many people were going in and out, they allow none of them!!!!!!
If this was our experience in a military site, that was no problem, but for a some claiming being against the unjust regulation of the system and progressive, that was quit a contradiction! I would have given 5, if that was not my experience, but now only 3!

Rote Flora is a long-standing squatted art space that’s served as a home for a variety of events that includes everything from community meetings to art exhibitions and beyond. Defiant in the face of expansive gentrification, the former theater remains an institution for the resistance in the Sternschanze neighborhood, where rents have steeply risen since the ’00s. The Flora has also been an important ally in the effort to rehabilitate the Golden Pudel. When Pudel was unable to host a party with DJ Stingray and Helena Hauff, Rote Flora hosted the party instead.
