Restaurant Finkenwerder Elbblick

The restaurant is located with direct view on to the river Elbe allowing great looks on passing by vessels, boats etc. Outside and inside seating is available. From Hamburg city you can easily come and return by ferry (LineNo 62). I recommend to make a reservation at least on weekends for lunch and dinner. The waitresses are very friendly, fast and attentive. Food preperation might take a while depending on actual capacity utilization aka number of guests. The specialty is seafood but a selection for all others is also avaliable. We enjoyed the pan-fried North Sea Sole "Muellerin Style" with brown butter sauce and potatoes as well as pan seared Giant Prawns on a spicy Curry-Coconut Sauce, breaded deep-fried pineapple slices and Basmati Rice. Everything was cooked to perfection and we had a wonderful lunch. We'll back for more.
NB: Everybody who needs ketchup and/or mayonnaise for taste might be wrong here! ????

I was disappointed a bit. The food is ok but nothing special. When checking the expensive prices I really expected more about the dishes.

Really nice view over the river elbe! The food was ok, but the view was better in my view. Good to have a drink while enjoying the view. Features a nice outdoor terrace, but at the warmer days service is a bit overwhelmed and you might have to wait a bit longer than usual.

Great viewpoint for shipwatch. We have been there at a wedding. Unfortunately though to a fixed price for all guest the service almost ignored us completely. They served the guest first who had to pay separately.

A very nice and good restaurant. Excellent food and service. Recommend the place.
