This was a 4-star hotel, back in the 90s when it was built. The bathroom in the room felt dated, as well as the ancient minibar and it definitely does not qualify for 'sound-proof', since you can hear the lovely cleaner at 7am banging around in the room next to you. Overall, great location, amazing staff, nice beds, but all a little dated.

Makeup mirror a plus, location across from train station which had food, grocery, flowers u0026 next to park for a walk.
Limited TV choices. No movie channel-nit important to most but I wanted to relax after meetings! Small rooftop bar was pleasant.

great experience at the hotel, staff all speaks great English and the breakfast was worth the price! this hotel is also in a perfect location to get anywhere easily. make sure the check out the water show at the park nearby, every day at 10pm

Pros
- Great location.
- Great view over the city.
- Friendly service.

Not so pro
- Small room. (Superior Panoramic)
- King size bed was two single beds positioned next to each other.
- Window from the bedroom to the bathroom. Usefull if you want to see what your partner is doing there. Weird.
- Minibar was empty (why charge a 200 euro deposit then?)
- The parking garage was utterly unorganised, difficult to navigate and expensive.

Conclusion
- We are not coming back.

The hotel is located next to the Hamburg convention center and a train station, which is very convenient for people traveling to Hamburg for a convention. The hotel is also a ten minute walk from the city center. I was there for a conference and the hotel was an excellent choice for my purpose.

It's a hotel and perfectly adequate at that. Regular rooms aren't big but sufficiently spacious with the regular accoutrements (kettle, hair dryer, safe) and, depending on the floor number, a fantastic view over the city. Nothing special though, the same with breakfast or conference options: good, adequate, nothing beyond expectation. The 3 stars should be understood like that: everything's there, everything's fine, nothing's exceptional.

I was happy about the service, the staff was consistently friendly, efficient and helpful.

The bar's excellent, the breakfast buffet's good, the restaurant a little underwhelming. The food is good and relatively imaginative but I found the menu a bit too small.

My favorite aspect of the hotel is its location: in walking distance of the old city center and the St. Pauli area, whilst sitting on top of a train and metro station, of Hamburg's excellent public transport. The height means that the hotel is visible from afar. Immediately outside the hotel is a lovely park.

Remodeled rooms are nice but on the small side. Huge crowds and long wait times at check-in/ checkout. Air conditioning seems broken in a number of rooms (such as mine).
