Today we visited the Puppen Museum (Doll museum) in Hamburg. The collection gets 3 stars from us because it is really extraordinary. Nevertheless, the visit could have been a bigger experience hampered by a really grumpy lady and a man who apparently is responsible for keeping the gravel drive clean and neat. Unfortunately, there were no signs at the entrance of the park stating that one should not drive into the park. Sorry, next time I will bring my crystal ball. The only thing these 2 people had in mind was to keep telling us that we should not have driven down the driveway, whereas the car of the man keeping things clean was parked there. Another lady experienced the same tirade. So, be aware. Park opposite the entrance of the the Grotiusstrasse and don’t go walking through the park if you don’t want to experience full broadside reprimand, because that is apparently also not allowed.

Gorgeous view of the Elbe river. Beautiful architecture of the 1920s building.

One of the best views on the river in Hamburg. Secret tip.

A collection of childhood memorabilia and cultural objects (in miniature) housed in an amazing building, overlooking the Elbe.

(Translated by Google) Special building high above the Elbe, beautiful view, architecture apart / a bit Frank Lloyd Wright. Very friendly welcome with a good story, very extensive doll collection.

(Translated by Google) The doll museum is absolutely worthwhile, as it gives a very clear insight into the living conditions of the last centuries through the doll houses. At the moment there is also an exhibition with works by Dörte Helm, one of the first strong women of the Bauhaus in Weimar!
The view behind the museum over the Elbe is also wonderful!
