When I arrived at the hostel where I previously made a booking, there weren’t any beds left, which is something that can (but shouldn’t) happen. From what the few guests I’ve met said, most of them weren’t in the room they paid for.
The guy at the reception is the actual reason I give only one star, because instead of showing empathy, he wouldn’t even let me stay in the hostel lobby for 10 minutes to find another solution.

Defo don’t recommend this place

Cleanliness could be improved but in general it was ok.
A few things disappeared (3 soap bars). One girl stole a phone from another girl but we could find it under a bed in another room thanks to Google services.
Very Nice staff.

Extremely unprofessional. Everything was fine until the manager decided to change our last night to a different location without asking. This would have been ok if everything was arranged for us. Unfortunately, that was not the case and we spent literally the whole day talking to three different people on the phone.

We also had issues with the amount of money that had to be paid to the owners of the new location, and how much we had to get back from Pauli hostel. Seems like the manager charges a pretty random amount of money and then forgets. Luckily, in the end we got the overpaid money back, although after a long discussion.

After all this trouble, not only we got no apology from the manager, but he was even rude saying that it was our fault.

Honestly, next time in Hamburg, I'd rather sleep under a bridge.

Very clean hostel, with very friendly staff and generous at the same time. Its in a chilled location far away from the hussle and bussle of the main strip. You get unlimited alcohol free Desperado Beer, and a nice communal Kitchen to cook. Has secure lockers, so I advice bring your own padlock. It is most certainly a relaxed and laid back hostel for sure, I will definetly go again. Shout out to Josef for being welcoming laidback, and giving tips and advice about the city. I would give this 100 stars but unfourtuantely I can only give me 5 which is the best!!!!

Booked this place because of its location and price. Well when you're cheap you pay twice because after confirming they later messaged me and told me to cancel or I wouldn't have a room. I reluctantly did so and ended up paying triple the price because most places were sold out at this point. Trust the reviews and don't even think about booking this place.

Nice, small hostel on the quiet side of the Reeperbahn, however only a short stroll from the action and the Elbe and just opposite Königstraße S Bahn station.

Very friendly and helpful guys. Location is great also. Across the street from the SBahn to get anywhere you want to go.
