Yesterday we were visiting your store with two of our kids who are 5 and 8, when we suddenly were told by a member of your staff in the most inpolite way that "this is not a playground" and that their behaviour were not acceptable.
First: what are the results of YOUR behaviour?
Well, you lost a customer, or actually two... Me and my wife were just getting started, buying for ourselves, we had found presents for our 16-year old, and we were starting picking out things for our band.
I thought that clothes retailers were struggling with the competition from internet retailers...
Second: what do you suggest that kids do while they wait for their parents? They didn't do any harm. They were hiding from each other and following each other and riding the escalator and a bit of laughter.
They didn't scream, climb on your shelves or tear any of your clothes down... Just two happy kids killing some time.
Have you any idea how boring it is for kids to wait on their parents in a clothes store?
Third: New Yorker is a chain of stores which we now will connect with this event instead of nice clothes.
I'd suggest a somewhat different approach in the future, for your own good.
At least we saved €100 from ending up in your register. Today we're leaving for Berlin, and I think they have a somewhat more relaxed approach to kids there. ????
Bye.
