The Hamburg Hilton. Set in one of the most desirable places on earth.

Don’t ever come here. Unless you are homeless like we were. The hotel was 180 euros for one night with my wife and 2 kids. Travelling back home after a flight cancellation we had no time to research this place and the area it was in.

Room was clean enough but stayed in fresher hostels. Not hostel prices here though.
Staff friendly enough but we had no interaction really.

The big downer is the street this is set on. It’s the most depraved place I have ever seen and I have seen many rough places in my time.

If you come with kids etc don’t even come within ten square miles of this place. Hell on earth you absolutely could not think of a worse place to be out with war zones.

Inexpensive option near the Hamburg Hbf. But, the area around it is very sketchy and we did not feel comfortable. The rooms were VERY basic. Shower doors broken. Not very clean. No view from windows other than the roof or wall from adjacent building. No breakfast, although we likely wouldn’t have stayed for it.

We needed to be in a location close to the Hamburg central station as we had a very early morning train to catch. The hotel is functional, nothing bad. Located within 5 minutes of the BahnStation.
Very colorful immigrant population and kebab shops surround this area. Dont expect the surroundings to be clean!!!

Its a bit run down, but it's clean. The night respetionist was nice. If you get scared of busy streets stay away.

5 minutes to the main train station situated in a busy street, surrounded by lots of shopping possibilities. Rooms are clean alternately one or two bed although not the most modern. Very warm and comfortable though. Receptionist is friendly and breakfast though monotone is tasty.

Overall a decent hotel. No major complaints. The reception was very nice and helpful. they have a nearby grage where you can safely park your car for 12 euros a night. The room was nice and tidy, 2 big windows which can open all the way, bathroom with toilet and small shower. Location is in the middle of the city which is very nice, street is quite noisy at night. Overall a nice hotel for it's price.

Please take the negative reviews below with a grain of salt. The hotel is fine, with great and friendly personnel, small but clean rooms and a great shower. Sometimes it can be a bit smelly but when you open the window for a bit it is gone.
The neighbourhood is busy and very mixed, which makes for an interesting environment. If you use your head, you will be fine. There are a lot of small restaurants and cafes on the hotel's street, so you will not starve.

All in all, please do not be scared by the negative reviews below and see the place for yourself. It's decently priced and close to the city centre.
