The entrance looks really sketchy, especially when coming home at night. There's also no elevator and you have to go up an awkward stairway.

We didn't find any mold, so it wasn't as dirty as some of the other reviews suggested, but our rooms still weren't clean. We did find ants in the bathroom and the shower was a bit broken, although still usable.

Only recommendable if you come home drunk enough to instantly fall into bed. The location is perfectly suited for exactly that, though.

As the name suggests, they are trying to imitate different environments in each room. The idea is really cool, but the result is not perfect. We were staying in the classroom themed room, with a blackboard and some school stuff on the wall. The view was great on the Reeperbahn, and it was very noisy at night, which might be annoying for some people, but I loved it. For this price it was not bad, but be prepared, there's no such thing as reception or lobby, no elevators. We had to pay in a room, and we got no receipt. One morning the hallway was covered with the scattered remains of some glass shelf, which was fallen during the night. There's no breakfast option, but you can have it at the nearby McDonald's.

Room was clean, yet it smells like stale cigarettes ( I guess you can smoke in all of the rooms although there were no ashtrays in mine). The shower was really annoying, alternating constantly between very hot and very cold water in a matter of seconds.

There's no breakfast so you either have to buy something at some supermarket or go to a bakery, for that I strongly recommend Der Kiezbäcker, fairly nearby.

The location is perfect for partygoers, though: right in the middle of Hamburg's red light district. Noise was not so bad on the last floor (I wasn't there on a Friday or Saturday night, my guess is it can get much worse), but the curtain didn't blackout the room properly, so the lights from the building across the street can bother a bit.

All in all, you do get what you pay for and nothing more. Fine for one night, but not three like I did. Also I don't think it would be very nice to come with your lover, either.

In terms of location, it is well located, however in terms of quality I would say that it is better if you spend a bit more and stay in a better place. There is no lift, and the stairs are not the standard ones, if you stay in the fourth floor, then it is a pain to climb each time. However, it is a cheap place for a one night stay.
It is also tricky to find the reception at the arrival, there is no clear sign about it. I climbed till the top floor and then came back to find the reception! Even though there should be internet in my room according to the booking conditions, they told me that the internet was available only in the first floor, nearby the so-called reception. However, the receptionist guy was polite and respectful. I also had asked for early check in and they had confirmed, but at the arrival they made me wait till 13:00 :(
I think the only good thing about it is the price!

Good stay if you want to enjoy nightlife on a city trip in Hamburg. It is a cheap stay, so don't expect too much comfort. Traveled with a party of 7 friends. Rooms were clean; beds and shower were OK. The hostel is located directly to the Reeperbahn, so it is quite noisy. With a surplus of bars in walking distance (Große Freiheit, Hamburger Berg), you shouln't go to bed too early :-)

Basic, but clean. Staff helpful. Word of warning... no lift and a lot, and I mean a lot of stairs!.. smack in the middle of the reeperbahn, excellent location!

Great little hotel, close to the main strip. The staff and manager we extraordinarily welcoming and friendly. Will definatley be returning
