Really beautiful ! Perfect location and easy to get around. Hotel has a lot of old charm yet modern and stylish bedrooms. Our room had a view to the Alster which was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and had everything one could wish for, a real treat every morning. Staff were always friendly, accommodating and helpful. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you for lovely stay !

Beautifully restored hotel, with wonderful staff, comfortable bed, impeccably clean, in a great location along the lake. But in summer, don't underestimate the noise from the road - and that there is no aircon in the rooms if you close the window. And for this price that's not really okay.

The rooms are beautiful with a beautiful view. The location is fantastic and great for a jog or a beer. The breakfast was good and sufficient. The staff was helpful and always had a smile on their face.

I am not sure if it's 4 Star hotel though. The basic were missing like a actual soap (I hate the liquid soap dispensers, they remind me of teenage hostels). Even the Body cream was missing. The rooms were hot in June, I had to sleep with windows open.

Overall I would come back here. I hope the hotel read my review and improves the small issues.

Highly above average and I believe rather than hotel a beautiful place to stay where you get the approach of professional and friendly stuff. Glad I could stay with them.

Nice rooms. We got a view of the water too; I think we were upgraded somehow. But the partition between our room and the next was not insulated, so any noise in the bathroom next door might as well have been in our room. That was disappointing. The doors to the stairwell were above average and had good rubber padding to prevent slams, which was an above-average feature. Overall this hotel requires earplugs. Breakfast was good.

Stayed in a superior room with an Alster view.
The stay was worth the money. The view from the main and bath room was very very good. Anameties were appropriate as well as the prices for snacks and drinks (water, wine, beer, Softdrinks and sparking wine). Coffee and tea were free of charge).
Breakfast was very satisfying. Several juices, cereals, coffee machine as well as filtered coffee pots. Chees and meat variety was ok.
Not suitable for vegans.
Would not stay there with kids as I think it is too noisy for others and children.

We had a very nice stay for a couple of nights in Hamburg. I loved our double room, high ceilings, historical building. Just in front of the Alster, the view outside was amazing. Unfortunately it's being renovated at the moment, but we never heard a noise. Breakfast buffet very rich.
