I had a baby (my first baby) at Amalie Sieveking. Though I requested a water birth when I registered at Amalie at my 5th month of gestation, on the day of delivery, the attending doctor and midwife didn't know I wanted a water birth. I was taken to a regular labour room. The doctor instructed the midwife to deliver my placenta immediately after delivery of the baby. I told her to give me a shot of oxytocin before she institutes active management of third stage of labour, she looked at me and went ahead to deliver the placenta. My placenta broke and I had severe post partum haemorrhage (PPH). My Hb dropped to 7.3 mg/dl. The doctor performed manual evacuation of retained placenta. But on my file and Mutterpass, both doctor and midwife documented that my delivery was uneventful. I didn't know this till I was discharged 3 days later. I kept wondering why I wasn't being treated for severe anaemia. The doctor also lied to me that I didn't sustain any vaginal tear, because she did't want to repair my tears. Meainwhile I was badly torn. Three weks after my discharge from Amalie, I was admitted at University hospital Eppendorf as a result of complications of an untreated anaemia. I had a very unpleasant post partum period because the doctor and midwife at Amalie are dishonest and lazy.

Heute hatte ich einen Notfall und habe die Durchwahl gewählt die hier steht woraufhin ich eine Dame am Telefon hatte. Ich schilderte Ihr die Situation, dass meine Frau Schwanger sei, extreme Schmerzen hat und Corona positiv ist. Sie sagte ich solle an der Leitung bleiben und kurze Zeit später meldete Sie sich zurück mit der bitte ich solle doch nochmal in einer Stunde anrufen. Ich fragte in einen normalen Ton was ich denn jetzt eine Stunde lang tun soll? Daraufhin ließ sie einen ziemlich genervten Seufzer heraus und sagte ich solle doch nochmal an der Leitung bleiben. Ich wurde daraufhin zu einen sehr netten und kompetenten Arzt geleitet der sich meiner Sache intensiv annahm. Ich kann verstehen dass es Tage gibt wo es ziemlich stressig sein kann mit Kunden da ich selber viel Kundenkontakt in meiner Arbeit habe. Das ist aber keine Rechtfertigung den Kunden, oder in diesen, Fall Patienten so offensichtlich zu zeigen wie genervt man ist. Das ist leider ziemlich Unprofessionell und wenn man damit nicht umgehen kann dann hat man vllt. nicht den richtigen Job.

Habe hier am 23.09.2021 meinen ersten Sohn geboren. Trotzdem Überlastung und Corona durfte mein Mann die ganze Zeit von der Ankunft über die Geburt und bis in das Krankenzimmer bei mir sein. Wir wurden die ganze Zeit gut behandelt und nach 4 Stunden und zwei presswehen war der kleine auch schon da. Er hatte es so eilig dass wir es nicht einmal in den Kreißsaal geschaft haben (was auch nicht schlimm war weil die alle belegt waren) und er in der vorbereitungswanne zur Welt kam (eine Wassergeburt war sowieso geplant). Vor, während und nach der Geburt wurde uns immer Hilfe angeboten und man fühlte sich sehr wohl und in guten Händen.
