The exhibition is not that big but I like how they are using the space in park. It is not crowded. It is located in big park but not so far from the entrance. You can take a nice walk to here. Also even the it was small I could feel that they are caring about their exhibition and trying to inform people about it. It was nice experience.

I enjoyed the walk through the park to get to the museum, the exhibit currently was a collection called from Dix to Picasso, which was interesting to see, I especially liked the pamphlet instead of texts next to each picture, or in each room. Compared to public museums it might seem a bit expensive, but with student discount it was okay (5€). staff at reception could have been friendlier.

Very disappointing experience.
Hardly any sculptures of Barlach, instead lots of really not impressive ceramics of a different artist as part of a special exhibition that took over 85% of the exhibition space. Tickets are very expensive and on top quite unfriendly personell. When we expressed that we were quite dissapointed her answer was: „you are not the first.“ Well - I‘m not surprised.

Rare chance to experience a rare artist, at the site of his living and working. The journey , the environment prepares you to develop the mindset required to experience Barsch

(Translated by Google) I came because of Ernst Barlach's figures, which have accompanied me since my youth. Only a different part of Barlach's works can be seen.
The special exhibitions are interesting and of high quality. Unfortunately, the small house is not barrier-free. Therefore no 5 stars.

(Original)
Deshalb keine 5Sterne.
