I am surprised to see the negative reviews as I really had a very different experience. I found the staff extremely warm and supportive. I highly recommend this clinic.

Das Epilepsie Zentrum ist eine gute Möglichkeit sich nochmal untersuchen zu lassen, um sein Leben mit der Krankheit zu vereinfachen.
Ich habe kein Personal/Arzt hier getroffen, der unfreundlich war. Alle sind sehr bemüht einem zu helfen und man merkt, dass sie echte Spezialisten sind. Auf verschiedene Wünsche der Patienten wird eingegangen und trotz Untersuchungen, welche manchmal anstrengend/ nervig sein können unterstützen sie einen und versuchen es so schön wie möglich zu gestalten.
Die Zimmer sind gut eingerichtet und mit großen Fenstern ausgerüstet, damit man sich nicht so eingeengt fühlt, Sportprogramme werden einem auch angeboten.
Das Essen ist für ein Krankenhaus im besseren Bereich und man kann sich wie an einem Buffet, welches direkt an den Raum geschoben wird, bedienen.
Hauptsächlich geht es in einem Krankenhaus/Klinik um die Gesundheit und darin sind sie hier Profis, das ist gegeben und reicht für mich aus ????

Das Krankenhaus ist spezialisiert auf Epilepsie. Mit diesem Krankheitsbild habe ich mich dort in Diagnose und Medikamenten Umstellung sehr gut behandelt gefühlt. Man merkt, dass dort Ärzte am Werk sind, welche von Ihrem Fachgebiet Ahnung haben. Ich kann verstehen, dass man frustriert ist, wenn Ursachen etc. nicht eindeutig identifiziert werden können, das ist bei mir auch so, liegt aber weder am KKH noch an den Ärzten, sondern an der Krankheit.

Auch was für Terminkoordination angeht: ja es dauert, bis man einen Termin bekommt, aber auch dies liegt am hervorragenden Ruf des Krankenhaus. Es gibt leider nur eine begrenzte Zahl an Betten und wie lange ein einzelner Patient dort bleibt, klärt sich teilweise auch erst nach Diagnose. Das macht eine Koordination nicht leicht, aber unter den Umständen machen sie das schon sehr gut.

Daher vom mir fünf Sterne! Mit der Diagnose Epilepsie ist dies die erste Adresse.

Prozess der Aufnahme am 21.07.22 um 8:30 Uhr, Zimmer- und Bettzuweisung, diese konnten erst ab ca. 13:00 Uhr erfolgen.

Ausstattung:
Ein Warteraum mit einem Balkon für Raucher. In diesem Warteraum werden die Besprechungen abgehalten. Die Fenster waren über 6 Stunden geschlossen ohne vorhandene Lüftungsanlage. Die Nichtraucher müssen Ihre Frischeluft aus dem gekippten Festerschlitz [Breite, 40u003d cm; Tiefe 5 cm] in den zugewiesenen Zimmern beziehen. Für den Neuankömmling gibt es im Wartezimmer keine frische Luft und keine Kilmatisierung.

Auf den Fluren ist Maskenpflicht. Im Wartezimmer besteht keine Maskenpflicht. So passiert es, dass der Neuankömmling sich vom Raucherbalkon über 6 Stunden auf gepackten Koffern in einem sehr warmen Raum ohne Klima von allen beobachten lassen muss. Abgesehen von den Kameras, die überall bis auf dem WC's montiert sind. Es hat den Vorteil, daß wenig geklaut wird. Passiert jedoch scheinbar dennoch. Zur Sicherung der Wertgegenstände ist ein kleiner Schrankschließfach auf dem Zimmer.
Es wurde nicht gestattet das Gelände für eine Joggingrunde bzw. zur Essensbeschaffung zu verlassen.
Ein Physioraum der bei Temperaturen über 20 Grad Celsus überhitzt, ist nicht geeignet für sportliche Aktivitäten. Für welche Physioübung braucht man einen Sandsack? Für Lowkicks geeignet. Das Leder ist ungepflegt, schmutzig, spröde, rissig und gehört aus Verletzungsgründen aussortiert.
Die Fenster werden zum Lüften temporär nicht geöffnet, obwohl es mit einem Schlüssel möglich wäre. Offensichtlicher Mangel an Personal, verhindert den Öffnungsvorgang, da dieser zu überwachen ist. Die Versteifung der Muskeln bei Anfällen findet Ihr keine Behandlung.

Ein Ablauf der Untersuchungen scheint es nicht zu geben. Organisiert wird, wenn der Patient da ist. Das Improvisationsmanagmet, ändert leider nicht an der fehlenden Planung der vorhanden Ressourcen, den sich ergeben Chaos und Unannehmlichkeiten.
Dafür beginnt jeder zweite Satz vom Personal mit... 'hier wird Ihnen geholfen'.. die "falschen" Hoffnungen werden aus den zuvor geführten Gesprächen mit übernommen.
Gegessen wird, was auf dem Tisch kommt. Die Gerichte werden gerne aus einkettigen Kohlenhydraten, tierischen Proteinen und Fetten, sowie einer Gemüsebeinlage ausgestattet. Alternativen sind selbst bei begründeten medizinischen Fällen nicht vorhanden. Lieferservice soll gestattet sein.
Auf der Suche nach Personal wird man im Sommer im Dienstzimmer fündig. In einer ANGENEHMEN Klimatisierung verweilend, bei 20 Grad. Ist nochmal mehr herabwürdigender für alle außerhalb des Dienstzimmers.
Über 6 Stunden Wartezeit, ohne das Angebot auf Frühstück oder Getränk. Selbst ein Becher, um Leitungswasser zu beziehen wird nicht Angeboten. Das Leitungswasser soll angeblich trinkbar sein.
Keine Klimatisierung, der zur dauerhaften Nutzung zur Verfügung gestellten Räumlichkeiten. Im Sommer sind es dann gerne über 28 Grad.
FAZIT ...
Ein Gebäude, welches Sanierungs- und Instandsetzungsbedüftig ist und dem Grundbedarf eines Krankenhaus nicht entspricht. Das Personal ist stark ausgedünnt. Das Personal sieht sich weder der gebäudetechnischen Situation, noch ihrer personellen Besetzung Imstande, die Station zu betreiben.
Das Pflege-Personal nimmt sich was er braucht. Der eine den Sandsack, der anderen den Kühschrank. Der Patient darf 10 Euro am Tag zusätzlich bezahlen [GV]. Die Beschwerdeabteilung gibt es nicht. ZIMMER ist unbekannt. Telefon wird nicht abgenommen.
Stattdessen wird willkürlich von Hausrecht gebrauch gemacht.

Epilepsie gibt es in so vielen unterschiedlichen Formen, dass es nicht leicht ist für sich den richtigen Weg zu finden. Das tückische an der Krankheit ist, dass man nie weiß, ob, wann, wie oder wo der nächste Anfall stattfindet. Das kann auch kein Arzt vorhersehen. Immerhin habe ich nun eine klare Diagnose bekommen. Damit kann man weiter„arbeiten“.

Das Epilepsiezentrum Alsterdorf hat einen guten Ruf aber nach zwei Aufenthalten in den letzten Jahren kann ich das nicht ganz nachvollziehen.

Überwiegend nettes Personal, gute technische Ausstattung und für ein Krankenhausaufenthalt war es auch alles recht komfortabel. Das Essen für Krankenhausverhältnisse ganz ok.

Ich denke auch, dass das Wissen um Epilepsie einen recht aktuellen Stand der Forschung entspricht.

Warum dann nur 3 Sterne? Das liegt an der aus meiner Sicht etwas merkwürdigen Politik auf der einen Seite das Wissen über das Thema Epilepsie zu stärken aber auf der anderen Seite wichtige Informationen zurück hält wie Risiken und Nebenwirkungen. Diese wurden bei mir trotz mehrfacher Rückmeldung immer runtergespielt was dazu geführt hat, dass ich kranker aus der Klinik entlassen worden bin als reingekommen trotz Versicherung des Oberarztes, dass man mich nur gesund entlässt. Der Entlassungsbericht wurde am Ende völlig verdreht.

Am Anfang des Aufenthaltes habe ich sogar auf eine Behandlungsmöglichkeit hingewiesen die mich inzwischen abseits der Klinik lange anfallsfrei gemacht hat aber man hat abgelehnt weil es noch zu wenig wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse gibt.

Ich denke man könnte lange darüber diskutieren ob das der richtige Weg ist. Soll jeder selber entscheiden.

Nachtrag: Da das Beschwerdemanagement des Krankenhauses nur abgewimmelt hat habe ich die Bewertung auf 2 Sterne reduziert.
