We came here for a spontaneous afterwork dinner and after having difficulties actually finding this place we took a seat on their breezy terrace. Service was very friendly even though not sorry speedy but since we weren't running a race we didn't mind at all. The mixed salad is neglectable but the rest of the food was pretty nice. The pizza was tasty, thin crispy though and not overloaded with toppings (well, it was a margherita). I'd prefer it a little more chewy with leopard crust and soggy in the middle but this one was very nice indeed. The homemade ravioli with salmon ricotta filling. Tastewise delicious with thick skin, which I liked, and in a big enough portion. I'll most likely be back to try a few if the other dishes, like the saltimbocca or the desserts. Grazie Mille.

We waited for over an hour for our order. When asked about the waiting time - the manager became aggressive, claiming it's a home-made ravioli (although the table next to us had to wait an hour for spaghetti).

After the dishes arrived it appeared they mixed up our order and made 2 risotto instead of two ravioli. The waiter said he'll bring another ravioli, only to come back 10 minutes later with the same risotto, saying they were out of ravioli.

On top of that - the restaurant is overpriced and you could get better food for less money in most places in Freiburg Altstadt

Good Italian food, good atmosphere and good, friendly service. Outdoor terrace seating also offers al fresco dining in the warmer months.
Prices are justified and very good value for the menu offered.
Reservations are recommended. Adequate parking is normally available in the evenings - during daytime business hours it may be more difficult. *Handicapped/wheelchair ♿ is catered for - elevator available. It's suggested to advise the management when booking of the *wheelchair requirement to arrange a suitable table.
Well worth more visits!

Thin crust pizza and home made tiramisu with friendly service. This is in a very residential area, not downtown in the old city but all the more a place where you'll find locals.
Great taste and super friendly atmosphere! We had pizza, the crust was very good all around too. The pasta also looked excellent.

Excellent, this relatively small but cozy Italian restaurant is a gem hidden between a block of anonymous residential condo's. We were lucky to get a table without reservation (strongly advised). The pizza is the best I've ever had outside of Italy, and the espresso is like a real espresso should be: strong and short. Enzo the owner uses only natural ingredients. 5-stars

Google maps said until 23:00, sign said until 23:00, doors were locked at 21:30 already, called them and they claimed it's until 22:00 as posted on Google maps but the kitchen is closed already. Guess that's where the name Pinocchio comes from.

Don't eat for days if you want to enjoy some of the yummiest pizza I have had outside of Italy! Friendly, warm environment and good value for a casual meal out.
