Relaxed atmosphere with very courteous staff.
Excellent restaurant.
The view from our room was not great but it was very clean with good quality bed linen.
The pool was not too busy.
We would certainly stay here again when visiting the Black Forest

Stayed here for two nights, nice room, top rate food, but both nights (even though specifically asked for the main restaurant) were placed in side room on our own. No real reason why...tables empty in the main restaurant. Would love to say I'll be back....but I won't. More atmosphere elsewhere at half the cost. And after our treatment 3* is being generous.

I enjoyed my room and the service was nice. The breakfast situation, as in other hotels, has been affected by COVID. Still, it was better than I expected. Their on-site restaurant is excellent. I also had one day where the weather was warm enough that my wife and I could get in the pool. Overall: Recommended.

Note: It's also close to transit and it's really easy to get to the center of Freiburg for sightseeing.

We were disappointed with the restaurant. The food was good but overpriced. The service was slow, perfunctory and not at all friendly. It was not a dining experience worth the price.

We were really looking forward to this trip. The plan was to go to a concert and have a sightseeing trip around the city with a relaxing stay in a nice hotel.
Sadly, our expectations were not met by this hotel. The parking situation is really tricky and not easy to do. After that you have to walk with all your luggage through the whole restaurant and bar to get to the reception. Check in was ok.
The rooms are very nice, like the other reviews already told you. The bathroom was clean and nice to look at. Only problem is that you will flood the whole room while showering and for tall persons the shower head cannot be adjusted high enough. After the first night our room was cleaned as expected, but all our towels that we had to use to wipe the bathroom floor were folded and placed for us to use again. So we had not only still wet towels the next day, but also very smelly ones as well.

One more downside was, that in front of our room was the whole day a wagon from the cleaning staff but no cleaning person around. That made a very untidy and unorganized impression.

Another disappointment was the spa area and the access to the outside pool. To reach the pool you need to walk through the underground parking lot or walk over the restaurant patio. This is not nice for the restaurant guests as well as the pool user. The spa has two saunas at different heat. Inside one of them music is played which ist very nice. In the other one though you’ll hear a lot of noise from the next room, maybe a kitchen or storage room? Not really relaxing.

Using WiFi wasn’t possible at all times. Sometimes the WiFi access points seemed to be full, so in the evening we did not manage to login to one of the WiFis. During the day we could access the WiFi, but it’s not too fast.

Excellent hotel, beautiful rooms with a personal touch, fantastic breakfast with lots of large pieces of all sorts of fruit cut up; the only downside was that one member of staff did not have the correct customer service skills, needs a little training. I stayed here with a large group of exhibition organisers (the exhibition centre is a 5-10 minute taxi ride), they all loved it and I am sure will stay here next year. I will include this hotel in a personal holiday trip!
