Employees were very helpfull and debonair. Entrecote steak was really delicious. Asparagus soup that I have tested the first time was very tasty as well.

Nice place. Very friendly. The menu is small but the food was super delicious. Apparently they recently changed the owner so don't be fooled by the menu offers here on Google. Some of those things are not available there.

This was the best food we had on our entire trip. We could eat outside and enjoyed very good and friendly service. The food was delicious - I had asparagus soup and Schnitzel "Wiener Art" with a very good salad. Everything was excellent, the Pommes frites had just the right amount of salt and were served with ketchup and mayo on the side. Good selection of beer and wine, all local. If I come back to Freiburg I will certainly eat here again.

Traditional German cuisine.. I had the 500 gram sirloin steak and my wife ordered the more traditional pork fillet with spatzle and onions.. Both were delicious...good price.. highly recommended.

Very nice atmosphere and even greater food. Lots of delicious dishes. Got a recommendation from the chef which was really good. Haven't eaten such a good steak (Kotelett) in a very long time. Just delicious

Just had Rehgulasch here at Zahringer Tor. It’s local black forest deer! Delicious! I have had several meals here, mostly old town center. This is the best so far.
I like to try locally sourced food when I’m traveling. There are other locally sourced food here. Will come back for these next time.
