We were really excited to have a good coffee and piece of cake after a long hike, so we were kind of hungry. We ordered the dirty pumpkin and dirty nougat, but we didn't have any coffee flavor.
The banana bread was good if you were not looking for something sweet.

It took them more than 15min to bring the drinks, and around 10min late, she brought the pieces of cake. In my opinion, it doesn't make a lot of sense to bring things separately.

A really, REALLY great café. I'm originally from the US and have lived in Germany for almost two years, and it seems like this café has a fantastic way of catering to the local community, to students, and to families. The space is well organized and designed, their roastery concept is flawless, the coffee is some of the best that I've had while in Germany. Everyone who works in the establishment is friendly, all of the products are fairly priced (and many are fairly traded!), it's an overall fantastic experience. Even if you're only in Freiburg for a few days, making a stop here is completely necessary.

Sloooow table service. Cafe not even full but it took 10 minutes to even take the order and another 10 minutes for one coffee to arrive. However... Friendly staff, well prepared organic coffee, nice selection of quality cakes and snacks. Kids' table with toys and beautiful solid wood furniture. Oh...and two parking spots outside. ????

I have no idea if the coffee is any good, because it is taking way too long to get my drink.

Nice coffee and snacks, comfy space; could have more variety though.

Great little coffee spot. I only wish they were open earlier.

When I want a coffee or a Latte, or realise that I'm outa beans it's first thing in the morning necessity, and you guys don't open till noon :/

Seems to me like you're missing out on prime hours! :)

(I ran out of beans yesterday... and just checked to see if you're open and your not. Jeff is sad)

I stumbled upon this place on google so I wanted to try it. I am a frequent coffee shop goer and wanted a nice place to sit and eat and have good coffee. I am studying abroad in Freiburg and also needed a good homework spot and so far, this one takes the cake. The mini brunch was amazingly delicious as well as the black coffee. The staff was also amazing and spoke clear English. I was checked on by 2 different servers which is a rare find in the states. If I ever make it back to Freiburg, this place will be my first visit for good brunch, coffee, and a place to chill.
