This is a museum for modern and contemporary art
It is well organized.
The exhibits are very limited. You can be out in 1 hour.
Only visit there if you are a big fan of modern art or if you have a museum pass.

Great exhibitions in the middle of the city,
easily accessible by public transport. Instead of an audio guide, take your smartphone with headphones with you and scan the app over the exhibition.
The Kunsthalle allows a great presentation of the artists' works in thematic blocks.

A really impressive piece of contemporary architecture in the heart of Frankfurt’s old town. I loved the lil piece of art right outside, and it’s on my list to visit the inside as soon as possible!

Interesting exhibition but the price quality ratio is quite disappointing. For the same price you can stay in the Städel museum for 4-5 hours, but this Schirn Kunsthalle has only one floor of exhibitions. Before you realise, you are already at the exit in less than an hour. I don’t think this small amount of content is worth the 12€. However, it is still worth visiting if you have a museum pass.

Very expensive for such a small exhibition (12€ for an exhibition of around a dozen artists. The layout was also a bit confusing- the blurb about the artists was not always at the beginning. The curation was mostly good- the paintings were interesting.

Definitely it’s the worst museum I ever been. Rude people working. You pay 12€ for something you can see in less than 1 hour (and it’s bad btw). And there’s more bad stuff… however I can’t fully describe how bad was my experience. Giving one star because it’s not possible to give 0. Never again!!! Don’t recommend!!! Hipster material.

(March 2022).
There were two available exhibitions, and I choose the one about painters who opposed national socialism. You can easily spend a good hour if you are interested in the subject.
