A wonderful little square with colourful houses fully rebuilt after WWII and an amazing atmosphere. Full of lively cafes and bars, it’s like a small outdoor museum. I loved the details on the buildings! Must visit :)

The recently rebuilt Old Town of Frankfurt was recreated beautifully. The buildings in the medieval style were so well rebuilt that it is hard to dustinguish them from the originals. With modern gabled roofed buildings are smoothly integrated into the ensemble, making the place cozy and friendly.
The entire area gives the visitor a sense of what the town must have looked like before WWII even though certain adjustments had to be made due to fire regulations and the lack of photos of the original buildings.
Now you can stroll through the streets and visit the many shops.
If you like to find out more about the area, you can book a tour at the visitor centre in Römer (The City Hall)

Small area with nice architecture and cafes and restaurants which mainly caters to visitors and tourists but worth a short visit and walk thru. Shouldn’t take more than 1-2 hours.

A small piece of history in a very big city.
Some great places to sit and eat and just relax and watch the world go by in very old world charm.

beatiful houses and cafés/restaurants near the Römer. Often clean roads, subway station is nearby. Definitely worth a visit due to historical and visually unique buildings.

This part of Frankfurt is the old town, which was actually renovated to mirror the original buildings. It’s absolutely a must see if you are in Frankfurt. There are tons of little cafes were you can get a coffee, drink or snack and just sit and enjoy the scenery. You can take the U station to Dom/Romer to get here.
