Ridiculously brazen, laughable, and a wasted opportunity - despite it being free for me.

Yes, Art is subjective. That isn’t an excuse for the lacklustre curation. It lacks character, quality, diversity, appeal and relevance. Looking at other cities and their modern art museum equivalents renders ours as an utter embarrassment in its totality.

They desperately need a new director who is aware of the times and is intrinsically interested in keeping art interesting; art shouldn’t have to be a punishment.

Also, the “free” ticket to the Zollamt-museum is an extension of their ignorance towards their vocation and proof of their incompetence.

Being from Frankfurt, it angers me that they can get away with such a weak museum. Money aside, save yourselves the time until they get their act together.

Spacious space for art displays.
A to-go spot if you love modern arts.
Entrance fee can be paid on the spot.

Very nice exhibition. Was happy I caught it on its last day... The museum pass is a bargain, esp. In this case as I did not have to queue for ages ????

I so much loved the museum and the exhibition ???? I spent there more than an hour, and I left very impressed and shook by what I’d seen ♥️
PS. You can enter only if you are fully vaccinated.

The architecture is incredible, the exposition was good but definitely the space takes the medal.

My main issue with this Museum is just how useless the website is. It claims they have 5000 works of art, so when I bought a ticket to the museum during the Marcel Duchamp exhibition, I was expecting an area dedicated to Marcel Duchamp (whose work I really don't like) and then a diverse selection throughout the rest of the museum. Unfortunately the entire museum was Duchamp...3 floors... I think they do the same in the Tower and maybe Zollamt, only the website is so useless it's impossible to figure out what's going on...
Before you buy a ticket, just ask what's showing where. I'm sure the staff would be helpful, if you want to see a more diverse collection, go to Städel.
The architecture of the museum is cool though.

The architecture is somehow more interesting than the Exposition. I have been particularly captured by the contrast between huge white rooms and very tiny painting, forcing a sort of interaction with the art itself. Again, the building offers many occasions for looking around, from different perspectives, levels, from down, from up, from light to dark and vice versa. So, nice place to go to
PS. The floor that looks "soft" is wonderful... :)
