What a lovely place!
- location was brilliant for me, a short train journey from the airport and 10 minutes' walk from the station; two train stops from the central station. But also, right next to miles of forest with superb gravel trails throughout. I went running in the forest on two mornings and it was lovely. There's an amazing swimming pool complex about 10 minutes' walk away too. It's quite a sporting area, next door to the UEFA 2024 offices and training and academy and right by the Eintracht Frankfurt stadium. I can't comment on what the area is like on match / concert days but given that it's in the flight path of Frankfurt airport and the double glazing in the rooms kept them very quiet, I doubt it would be a problem.
- the hotel staff were brilliant. My German is terrible but they didn't mind speaking excellent English and helping me out. Check in and out was easy.
- the room was clean and neat. The hotel has a smart, clean design aesthetic. It's kind of minimal but I had everything I needed (desk, wifi, fridge, safe, cupboards, drawers, bedside table, light, mains points etc., and a TV). It's tidy. The bedsheets were clean and crisp, the shower was great and the double glazing and air conditioning kept it quiet and cool so I slept well.
- there's a small gym in the basement with some body-weight equipment like gym balls, hanging straps, hand weights etc., but you can also borrow a bike free of charge. I was travelling to and from the Messe so I cycled every day instead of taking public transport, which was ace.
