It was decent, the place is great but it was severely understaffed and the restaurant was not even full. We were 2 adults, 2 children, we ordered 3 mains, water and dessert and paid 100 eur which is overpriced for not being anything too special.

Really lovely restaurant. I went here with a large group of work colleagues (March 2022). The food was excellent, great range of fresh menu options, locally sourced. Good wine list. Great service staff were very helpful with wine choices, food advice, etc. Highly recommended.

Nice service and food as it should be. Rustic with a twist, focused on locally sourced products. The outside area is really beautiful in the summer.

Very kind personnel, very good food: the chef himself had a presentation (we were 30 people)! The garden is wanderfull, with those big chestnuts and a nice view!!

Service staff cares about doing this right. They are smiling and quick. Food is very fresh and interesting. It's not easy to find lemonade when I'm out, do I was happy to see it on the menu and even happier tasting it with fresh lime wedges, pomegranate seeds, and mint.
Staff brought blankets out for people who felt the chilly weather. This is a delightful place for watching World Cup matches. I'm looking forward to their full re-opening in September of the indoor restaurant as well as the garden.

Very delicious and seasonal food, with a nice atmosphere and friendly service. The food isn't cheap but for the quality you get, it's actually very fairly priced.

I'm a little shocked that the winner of the Frankfurter Gründerpreis does not accept credit card in the year 2019. This is a cost of doing business today.

I'll definitely be back but next time I'll remember to bring my 19th century paper money!

We were very excited to try out this Ratskeller after it was closed for a long time. We were a little disappointed as the restaurant doesn't really fit the image: as a Ratskeller we imagined to have simple, rustic food and relaxed atmosphere. Perhaps a beergarden with a playground in the big yard. Given how many families with small children there were, I am sure we are not the only ones who had this image in mind. At the end, the food is more high end and fancy, friendly service but not fitting the clientele at all. No food suitable for kids. Kids running around but limited seating outside.I would think this place will be successful in the long run if it changes its focus to be more down to earth and align what people normally expects from a Ratskeller in the Bornheim area.
