Still one of my favorite restaurants in Frankfurt because it’s the perfect blend between cozy, chatty and happy staff, a great bar and wine, with excellent food. We sat outside on the curb next to their sister wine bar on the curb, which made it feel even more casual (in a good way) and enjoyed a crisp, light and fresh menu and wine pairings perfectly suited for a long summer night.

Beautiful little hole in the wall with ambitious and well executed food paired with interesting and tasty cocktails. Really nice and engaging service. Feels like a uplifted wine cellar and would be my first and last choice if it ever is necessary to hide away from falling bombs. Will be back each season to see what chances and what stays the same.

Unfortunately, a disappointing evening. We reserved and ordered the six course menu but were told that we'd have only two hours for that. When we were on our 4th course, we learned that we didn't have time to complete but would have to cut it to five instead of six. Although we paid €412, the service was not focused on us but on the second shift of guests arriving at 8 pm. Nevermind that the place, a repurposed basement store with a front window, was only half full. When our waitress hurried to us with the check we were kind of on the last spoon of the desert. And - surprise - we were charged six courses instead of five and there was an extra bottle on the check. Clearly, we were in the way of something more important. That's a pity, because the chef had put some effort and thought into several of the courses to attempt to create an enjoyable dining experience.

I can highly recommend going there. The food is amazing and the drinks even better. Loved sitting at the bar and having a chat with the nice staff. It adds a special twist to the menue if you chose the drinks instead of the wine pairing.

+ nice creative food
+cute well thought out space (but not many "blumen")
+ they called ahead to ask dietary restrictions

- obviously forgot dietary preferences as soon as the phone was down
- no prices anywhere!! The bill was a total surprise. Average price per head is €100
- Service was friendly, but not confident or overly enthusiastic. The chefs put a lot of effort into the meal, it would be nice if the wait staff cared as much

Side note: the bell to get inside is annoying when you are inside.

We had an amazing meal from the new a la carte menu! I just can't say enough good things about Blümen... wonderful food, perfect wines and really friendly attentive staff. We will be back ;-)
