I quite like coming here, especially when I have international visitors. It is a German pub in the cellar, a bit hidden in one of the side streets, off the Fressgass. You hardly get mobile reception down there, but the atmosphere is great, espcially with all the rustic-style pipes, decoration and chandeliers. The food is very traditional German grub. I particularly enjoy their sausage salad (Wurstsalat).

The atmosphere is cool, down in a cellar where you have a nice cozy feeling. Food was presented without much love, Schnitzel was dry but the potatoes were good. For this, the place is way overpriced.

Wauw. Just wauw. Super friendly staff, traditional German cooking with Frankfurt editions of foods. And in a very cozy atmosphere underground in the old cellars.
Do try their applewein it's just like British apple cider. Dry and not so sweet. Just with no co2. It's very refreshing. Their own kellerbier is also great for the food.

Good athmosphere, but schnizel definetely is not the best, too fried to brown, small amount of mashroom souce (. They could do it better.

A nice Apfelwein Keller, it looks very authentic (at least to me). Go sit in the vaulted room (not the one closer to the entrance), on the long benches. The staff is mostly non-German and young, but very very friendly and helpful. The food, at least the salads and the Schnitzel was excellent, and the servings are big.

The balance of the flavors was excellent in everything. The food was delicious! We had the original Weiner Schnitzel and topped it off with Apple Strudel. Yum! The restaurant is designed like an old brick cellar. Great ambiance.

I had a super delicious Frankfurt Schnitzel served with equally yummy sides and the typical regional apple wine, service was top and reasonably priced in a great atmosphere, you can't get any better. Thoroughly recommend this German restaurant which is also close to the Hilton and Flemings Hotels.
