Unfortunately there is no lunch menu, which is why I only want to give 4 stars. If there was a lunch menu, we would definitely come home from work more often. So it is a bit expensive for lunch (Polish plate €12.90, coke 0.3 liters €3). But for every now and then a special restaurant, which can stand out from the all sorts in the city center because of the Polish dishes.

Einziges mir bekanntes polnisches Restaurant in Essen. Wir waren heute zum ersten mal dort, und waren von der Qualität der Speisen überzeugt. Sehr lecker! Das Personal war auch sehr freundlich.

Leider gibt es keine Mittagskarte, weswegen ich nur 4 Sterne vergeben möchte. Wenn es eine Mittagskarte geben würde, würden wir sicher von der Arbeit öfters kommen. So ist es für ein Mittagessen schon etwas teuer (Polnischer Teller 12,90 €, Cola 0,3 Liter 3 €). Aber für hin und wieder mal eine besonderes Restaurant, was sich wegen den polnischen Speisen aus dem Allerlei in der Innenstadt abheben kann.

Waren heute das erste mal dort und ich muss sagen, wir waren begeistert. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm gewählt, das Personal super freundlich und das Essen ist einfach klasse. Der Koch versteht auf jeden Fall sein Handwerk! Alle Speisen am Buffet waren gut abgeschmeckt angefangen bei den Suppen, den Fleischgerichten, als auch bei den Pieroggis und den Salaten bis hin zu den Desserts.... Ich hoffe das ich nichts vergessen habe. Alle Gerichte waren frisch und hausgemacht. Unseren beiden Kindern hat es ebenfalls sehr geschmeckt. Alles in allem kann ich das Restaurant wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Sehr gute Polnische Küche, klasse Ambiente. Wir werden auf jeden Fall zukünftig gerne wieder dort Essen gehen. Klare 5 Sterne Empfehlung!

As an appetizer you get here bread with homemade lard and pickled polish cucumber strips (much more acid than what you know so here). I had a broth with noodles as a starter, which was very good, but a little greasy. The main course was a mixed plate with polish sauerkraut (very delicious), a kind of fried sausage with onions (well), a dumpling with meat filling (very greasy and a bit bland), and 3 dumplings with different fillings (unfortunately also swam in the fat).
After the portion you were definitely full, but this was largely due to the addition of excessive amounts of butter / lard.
Since I noticed that very negative, I give 3 out of 5 stars.

Ein neues polnisches Restaurant in der Innenstadt. Als Appetitanreger bekommt man hier Brot mit selbstgemachtem Schmalz und eingelegten polnischen Gurkenstreifen (wesentlich saurer als das, was man hier so kennt). Ich hatte eine Fleischbrühe mit Nudeln als Vorspeise, die sehr gut war, allerdings etwas fettig. Die Hauptspeise war ein gemischter Teller mit polnischem Sauerkraut (sehr lecker), einer Art gebratenen Mettwurst mit Zwiebeln (Naja), einem Kloß mit Fleischfüllung (sehr fettig und etwas fad), sowie 3 Piroggen mit verschiedenen Füllungen (schwammen leider auch im Fett).
Nach der Portion war man auf jeden Fall satt, was aber größtenteils durch die Zugabe von übermäßigen Mengen Butter-/Schmalz zustande kam.
Da mir das sehr negativ aufgefallen ist, gebe ich 3 von 5 Sternen.
