A wonderful experience and a huge museum. It took us around 4 hours and maybe would’ve stayed more if we went slower. Don’t forget to visit the panoramic observation deck located at the top by the end of your visit!

Worth the journey. It, was the biggest site in Europe. A fantastic exhibition showing the influence on society as the industrial revolution developed within the Ruhr area . We spent almost 4 hours.

Much to see from large variety of things. Little hard to navigate And there could have been more storytelling or putting it all together. But definitely worth a visit

This museum has a variety of things to offer.
Each floor has a different theme one is about types of rocks, minerals , metals one is about collection of history and the list goes on.
The museum offers permanent exhibition or the complete exhibition.
Permanent exhibition has 4 floors but still there is lot to see in those 4 floors if you are short on time that is best option else go for complete.
A locker is available as no backpack allowed inside museum so keep 1 or 2 euro coin (you get that back) with you just in case.
Lift is available for easy access to the floor.
I took 1 star down because of one thing that is I was continuously starred by the staff inside museum.
The nearby tram station is zollverein which I accessed from Essen Hbf (local U train)-u003e Tram 107 (Gleis 1).
I do recommend visiting this museum.

Very well restored, gives a good impression of how it was. Interesting findings. Here you can see that the Germans used even great architecture in industrial buildings. Impressive!
