This is truly the best restaurant in Essen. The service was attentive with a great Charme. The good is great.
The interior is a must to see.

Absolutely NOT recommended. Bellini and Aperol Spritz too sweet and juicy (where was the alcohol?). Appetizer very expensive for a very small portion and a stale taste, not balanced. The pasta with shrimp was inedible, sent back. It was over-cooked and sticky, drowned in cream and spices, shrimp not good quality. Location and service good, but food is bad and expensive. 2 Aperitivi, 1 antipasto, 2 pasta 79€. Very disappointing experience. Never again...

We have been staying in Essen for little over a month and then came Covid which forces us to go back to Cologne. But before leaving we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary here at the Casino. My husband being a construction engineer found the place amazing. The table waiters were fast and always polite. And our dinner with starters and wine made our celebration a beautiful experience. As an entertainer I've been in many restaurants. The Casino is highly recommended from us both. Danke schön and thank you.

Best restaurant in the area - incredibly great service (we were five and had a number of special requests) and excellent food. Can highly recommend the beef filet and the mixed starters.
