I ate here twice in October of 2016 and plan to visit multiple times this October(2017). Definitely one the best dining experiences I've had in my life. The host is friendly and fun. The food is exquisite as long as you like steak, it's very much find dining/comfort food experience. I cannot say enough kind words.

Excellent food from seasonal products. I ate a Christmas Goose which was delicious. The owner of the restaurant was very friendly and he made me and my company very welcome. The building is oldest in Borbeck and certainly gives a nice atmosphere to the restaurant. Restaurant is little bit pricey compared to other restaurants in the area but in my opinion it was worth it.

Absolutely amazing time at this restaurant. I could not fault anything. Great location near public transport (30 seconds walk away) made it easy to enjoy the range of drinks on offer. I especially liked the caramel toffee liquer. The goats cheese, walnut and honey starter I had was delicious as the dressing was home made and like nothing i have tasted before. The tomoto soup was also very very good. The bison steak was cooked beautifully and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The dessert of panna cotta was also very good and it was not overly sweet. It was served with a mixed berry topping which complimented it perfectly. The interior of the restaurant is very quaint and traditional with rustic beams and traditional furniture. The menu is written on 2 blackboards which ensures the freshness of the food (which i could not fault). The service was lovely and friendly and the staff were very welcoming. It was also nice that the man who served us spoke excellent english and did not hesitate to explain some of the dishes. The price and value for money was excellent. We will definitely be coming back.

This is one of my favorite dining experiences anywhere in the world, much less Germany!

Our host (though I forget his name) was one of the most genuine people I've ever met and has a beautiful skill at establishing rapport with his customers.

The food was delicious and I felt that I was dining in the house of a longtime friend who took great care in her offerings.

(Translated by Google) An extraordinary restaurant. I've wanted to eat here for years but never got around to it. Now I finally took the chance and what can I say... a unique experience. I took my wife here who enjoyed the evening as much as I did. An inn in a historic building tucked away in Borbeck. The kitchen contains only a few dishes, which at first sight suggested that what was to come was going to be something of great culinary value. The menu was presented on boards on which the possible dishes were written in circles in a legible manner. The innkeeper has style, I would say unique. A restaurateur through and through. The Pils freshly bought with Krone, a great beer treat. As a starter there was homemade carpaccio, with onions, olives and two pieces of toast with homemade butter. For the main course I had an entrecote with homemade herb butter. Coarse, very aromatic salt on the table. The meat was seared to perfection, medium which was of such good quality that salt was enough. Buttery, to the point. For dessert there was a little rum tasting. The innkeeper collects whiskeys and rums, the best collection I have ever seen. We only tried a few, but the tastes were outstanding. All in all a wonderful arrangement, great entertainment and a wonderful evening. Chapeau, definitely 5 stars. This kitchen easily withstands a comparison with the star kitchens of this world. And the entertainment and the location is unique. I am very happy to have found this gem.

(Translated by Google) For years our favorite place to relax and have a cozy dinner with great music, warm hosts and a rustic atmosphere.
The dishes are always worth looking forward to for the whole week.
All in all, always a wonderful evening, to round off a liquid dessert in the form of fine whiskey or rum ????????
