When the sun shines I often lunch at the Rote Mühle. I totally recommend this restaurant, it's one of the best in Essen. When you are not in a rush and just want to relax, enjoy the view and the food, this is the place.

The terrace is right on the river, very nice. Service is friendly. Food was pretty good.
