My wife and I had a fabulous dinner here, we had the set menu with a couple of "greetings from the kitchen". Every single dish was delightful.
The salmon was delicious, the brisket too.
The pork belly with hummer sauce was amazing.
I think the ravioli with truffle I liked best, what is difficult to say, as each and every dish had a sophisticated taste.
As recommended from the waiter I had a glas of Veltliner, a wine a I had made bad experiences with before, but this one served is an outstanding wine with interesting nuances.
The ambience of this restaurant is casual, the service is sometimes a bit insecure and exerted in a likeable way.
We stayed for almost 4 hours in total and it was a real pleasure.
We will definitely come again another time.
It´s a good place for having an excellent meal in a laid-back atmosphere.

Die Anneliese- unser Lieblingsplatz in Essen und mittlerweile zum zweiten Wohn (oder eher Ess-) Zimmer geworden.
Etwas unscheinbar gelegen, ohne prätentiöse Einrichtung ist hier die ganze Aufmerksamkeit dem Hauptdarsteller, dem Essen, gewidmet. Und ernsthaft- wir wurden noch nie enttäuscht! Weder von den liebevoll angerichteten Speisen mit Zutaten aller bester Qualität, noch von dem netten, aufmerksamen aber unaufdringlichen Service. Das etwa alle sechs Wochen wechselnde Menü ist jedesmal eine Überraschung und ein Feuerwerk des Geschmacks.

Erstklassige Küche und sehr guter Wein. Am Interieur kann man arbeiten, ist ein bisschen sehr gemischt und nicht besonders geschmackvoll. Da das Essen aber so gut ist, kann man darüber hinwegsehen. Der Service ist sehr nett und gut, es gibt ein Menü oder die A la Carte Version. Bei der Auswahl von der Karte war die Portion als Hauptgericht leider zu klein. Dennoch ein absolut tolles Lokal, das man in Essen einmal testen sollte :)
