We really enjoyed the cappuccino and cold brew. The chocolate browny was also very tasty! I can absolutely recommend Coffee Pirates if you are in search of the best coffee bar in Essen.

Actually two places: Get your fresh roasted full beans - or ground coffee here or visit the restaurant with different cake, coffee or bagel options (also vegan). Nice and really helpful staff.

Gorgeous, cosy little gem of a cafe with an adjoining coffee bean roastery.

The beans will change but on my visit the Americano decaf was among the nicest I have ever sampled. Good decaf exists and means you can drink more coffee, try it! ????

For filling breakfasts their are Bagel dishes and huge yogurt and whole fruit pots. For treats the range of cakes is amazing ????

There are always two cakes with no gluten containing ingredients but these are not handled in a way that ensures they are gluten free so they are not suitable for coeliacs or those with a highly sensitive intolerance. This is why I give 4 stars only. The staff however are very clear about this, they do not bluff appear unsure, but it would be nice if the extra effort was made to make these cakes gluten free ????

Very nice flat white-milk a good temperature and consistency.Staff are very friendly.Cakes looked amazing but I didn’t actually try any of them.

Fantastic coffee, one of the only places I've found in Essen that knows what a flat white is and does them very well. Great quick service too.

Nice place to have coffee or breakfast at the beginning of the Rüttenscheider Straße. Quite small and cozy with outdoor seating. Good breakfast options. Good for a quick bite or a Sunday morning breakfast. Next door they even roast their own coffee and sell accessories for coffee lovers :)

The coffee you can get here tastes very good. You can buy different types of coffee from 100 arrabica to 100 robusta. Also equipment like French press, mocha herd device and so on you can get here.
