One of the best restaurants here in Essen. Delicious food and nice staff! We already ate many times in this restaurants and tried different kinds of dishes. Awesome!

FOOD u0026 DRINKS
Let’s make it quick and mostly painless. We had two items that were way too salty. Your mouth was coated entirely with salt by just eating one piece of the dish. The mapo tofu lacked a lot of depth and flavor. The other items we had were ok.

SERVICE
We came here after Christmas to have a family dinner and we got into a very loud and aggressive fight in the kitchen for several minutes. Not even one apology for the circumstances. That is just unacceptable. The waiters were friendly and nice though!

ATMOSPHERE
Very spacey but not very cozy.

RATING
Too many issues. The one positive I have to highlight are the waiters. They took our complaint about the salty food seriously, the cook tried it himself and they didn’t charge for the one item we complained about. The other oversalted item we just took to go and made it more edible at home. Maybe it was just the wrong day. Too many internal problems that affected the usual standards, maybe?

The restaurant was unfortunately pretty cold in the evening, probably because of big windows. Most empty tables were covered by dirty dishes while a guy behind the bar was playing with his phone, the poor girl serving the tables couldn't manage everything herself. Also after we finished our meal, nobody came to pick up dishes or ask if we wanted anything more, so after long time waiting we just paid on the bar and left. The food however was so so yummy that we would be happy to give it another try.

Great chinese food, not the usual europeanized stuff. Be a bit adventurous and you find some very nice things like pig ears and other "unusual" (for the average German) delicacys. I recommend the wan tan with chili oil as a starter, simple but very good

Definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Essen. Also outstanding in the whole NRW.
