I hadn't been to Erfurt in 10 years and wanted to see how it had changed. I usually find a place to stay by 3-4 in the afternoon but everything was full in town. I used the cars GPS and found this place late in the evening. The owner came to the door and had obviously been to bed already. Charming lady, gave me the key to the room and said we could take care of the details in the morning. I intended to stay for one night but stayed for 3. They offer a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Their daughter spoke English so that made it easy. She also did my laundry (wash and fold) for me for a great price. That's always tough on a long trip. I had dinner there only one evening and it was very good. Beer was good. Rooms were clean and the owners were very friendly.

If I ever make it back to Erfurt I will stay here again!

We all had a very enjoyable meal at the restaurant, unfortunately the card machine was not working, but they helped us to find another way of paying. I particularly enjoyed the goulash.

Wonderful all around, great quite location, wonderful surrounding, easy distance to forest walk ways, close to a beautiful pub ... romantic getaway place ... friendly, efficient and effective service ... ????????????
