Stayed here a couple of times it must have been a grand hotel at some time or another. It's a bit tired but I like it , in a great location with great prices. The staff are brilliant. Will use this place when visiting my pal nearby.

The rooms are really small and hot during summer, very noise, it’s a very old hotel, the walls are too thin and every time that anyone in the hotel goes to the bathroom, makes a lot of noise

Where shall I start ?
The indifferent, non helpful reception staff ?
The grave size room ?
The lack of AC ?
The Weired orientation of the toilet ?

The hotel it's just OK but definitely not good enough to be a 4-star. My room was very old fashioned, quite dirty and rather small. There were a few things broken in the room although none of them critical. The staff is very friendly and they let me do the check-in before the usual time as my room was already ready. The buffet breakfast is good and has quite a lot of variety. Location wise the hotel is very well connected, close to a few tram lines and 10 minutes away from the main station by foot. Also there is quite a lot of restaurants, stores and groceries nearby.

Nice older hotel. We checked in on Thursday night and the two ladies at the front desk seem to be very frustrated with something. Not sure if it was us or something between the two of them. They could not find our reservation, and seemed flustered. They were not extreme friendly or helpful, but not bad, but not what we have come to expect from other hotels in the region. Room was clean, quiet and cozy. The hotel is walking distance to alstadt and a lot of nice site seeing. Ladies in the breakfast room are wonderful. Very polite and friendly.

Very attentive and welcoming receptionists. The breakfast had plenty of variety and replenished food when it run out. Always at reception had something (cold water, tea/coffee) for guests. As we traveled with our 3 years-old daughter it was wonderful to have a big playground in front of the hotel, very convenient and not noisy/crowdy. There are not that many playgrounds in the city. Very good hotel, can't recommend highly enough.
Location could be closer to attractions but being 3 tram stops from the central train station can be beaten.
