Arranged for a test drive as I was quite interested in buy a Tesla S. I had an appointment for 1500 and was there 5 mins early. Had to wait over 20 mins until somebody approached me even though other sales people saw me standing there waiting. At some point finally somebody approached me and we went out for a 30km test drive. I was able to test several functions - by some I was impressed (e.g. autopilot), others I wasn't (e.g. voice recognition/command). I had multiple questions, of which most the rep could not answer and told me the tech guys in the shop might have answers to my questions. However, when we arrived back there, he just wanted to take to to configuration and pushed for an order. When I asked about an extend test drive to see if the car would suit my daily needs, he said that they could not accommodate it as they were to short on test cars and therefor could not give one out from one to the other day. When you are selling a product that costs in the excess of 100.000 you should be prepared to accommodate such a simple request. As nice as the product is, this dealership is not very customer oriented. While waiting for over 20 mins I overhead several discussions (no private space there and everybody listens to financial talks) how reps were pushing towards 3rd party leasing they get an additional kickback from. Sorry, but this is more a collection of sleazy sales people that unfortunately represent one of the coolest automotive brands at the market right now.
