A simple small kneipe with kind service. A slight Irish influence but it is largely a traditional small pub. The altbier was acceptable, though not the best around. Recommended for atmosphere and décor.

Reputedly the oldest bar in Dusseldorf. The owner has been there for 44 years. Great music, a good atmosphere and all the monkey nuts you can eat. Throwing the shells on the floor is the thing to do apparently.

On of the oldest pubs in the oldtown. Sadly it's going to close very soon, so worth a try while it's still open. After all sort of a secret place, usually not as crowded as most pubs in the area. Fine selection of old school rock music. Alt, pils and irish beers as well.

Frindly staff. Try "Baumberger" - a special shot created by by the owner. Quiet sweet but nice.

You'll get free peanuts on the table, if you'll stay for a little while. Doesn't get any better while drinking beer ;)
