The hotel is well located at a very quiet place. The staff is nice and helpful. However, I think they took huge profit of the Prowein fair because I had a room at the basement for 164€/night. (At the beginning no room available then suddenly "oh yes a room is free", maybe the last desired one). Kind of expensive for the quality of the room where it was a double sized bed with only a single sized bed cover. The food of the breakfast is average.

Maybe a good hotel I imagine but not my room.

The hotel has wonderful location just at the Rhine with view of the river and just at the edge of beautiful Benrath Schlosspark, the staff is friendly. But the building is of poor quality. If you are there in summer you will be roasted at night as the rooms overheat immediatelly and no ac, just fans are available. Also the restaurant although looks so inviting offers only very regular food, is not cheap and has no good options for children.

A nice hotel on a very beautiful spot: you can see the Rhine from the hotel and you are walking distance from the palace and park. The hotel itself was very warm in summer, with no airco, that was a bit too bad. Furthermore the hotel is clean, the people are friendly (in a German way) and the food is good.

This hotel has as many positive points as it has negative points.

Let's start with the positive:
- The location and beer garden is great.
- The food at the restaurant is pretty decent.

The rooms are average. Nothing fancy, but not horrible.

Lower points:
- Overall service (especially at the restaurant) is pretty bad
- The Wi-Fi is unreliable. Making a business stay challenging.

My parents in law have stayed at this hotel twice but this review is not about the hotel (they have only good words about the hotel rooms). I want to review the bier garten at the Hotel. On a nice summer day the view of the Rhine is spectacular. So the place is good to have a good beer along with a small dish, a salad or just a sandwich. I have eaten here a few times and the dishes are good, maybe a bit too small and they may feel a bit overpriced because of that. But I think you don't pay only for the food, you also pay a bit more for the location. It's not a place to have a big lunch, neither to expect a gourmet dish. Mostly regular type of food, tasty, and to enjoy over a good weitzen bier. The service personnel are friendly, particularly the Italian waiter Lorenzo, they all try to make you feel comfortable. It's also a kids friendly place, our two year old comes along some times and he enjoys it.

The location is very nice, close to the river as well as the city center. However it is a small hotel the reception is small. They still use the old key system it costs 100€ per night which is alot comparing to the quality of service.

I really like this place, its just near the river an amazing quiet and nice place, you can sit outside and enjoy your beer or whatever you ordered, the service is good and fast.
