Very nice museum. The highlight of the walk around the city. It was great to learn about the brightest poets.

When I was there there was a renovation, so I didnt get to see the full museum. From what I've seen, it was actually pretty interesting. Minus points because there were also a few rooms to visit, but there was no explanation at all for what those rooms are. For all I know those could just be a normal room usually used for weddings and nothing special.

Nice museum in a historic mansion. It was only 4 Euro each and was a great place to step in from the rain and see something for a while, even if you're not very aware of Goethe, as I was not. Lots of interesting historical information, very cool architectural details and a whole collection of porcelain and other antiques on the top floor. When you first step jnside, it looks like it may be sparse, but there is plenty to see and it is a great value for the money.

It is a wonderful museum to explore Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and see his famous West-East Divan, which he wrote after being inspired by Persian poet Hafiz.

This museum is in a manor house with its own history, but is a large collection of all things Goethe. There are three floors open to visit, including a floor devoted to porcelain. The first two floors include portraits of Goethe and numerous people and places important to his life, letters, books, etc.

Still worth a look if you don’t understand German! The elevator, spiral staircase and the meeting room on the top floor are stunning. There are contemporary art and artifacts on display. There was a complimentary guide in different languages near the elevator

Lovely museum with lots of interesting details but sadly I haven't seen any English information apart from the small leaflet which doesn't cover the whole exhibition. Stunning building, amazing porcelain and china sets. Definitely worth a visit but learn the language first or have somebody speak it on your group.
