Never faced this kind of theft from a customer before! Made reservation for 3 nights but very shortly thereafter changed to 2 nights. Hotel agreed, adapted the reservation and upon checkout the hotel promised me, on their word, they would arrange with booking.com to get the reimbursement. After three reminders, no reaction at all from the hotel. If I could give 0 stars I would rate them ZERO.

Great hotel. The breakfast was super. Despite the fact that we are usually not big meat ball fans we absolutely loved them there. Also worth mentioning is the great selection of cheeses. The room we had was perfect for a family of 5 (which can be a challenge). Staff was very friendly (especially to our kids). The location is great for visiting the huge Christmas market

People here are good and you can have a great breakfast at this hotel. But the room is not clean, for example, I used a glass of cup at mini bar but room cleaner didn’t give a clean one back to mini bar and just put it back to its original place(unbelievable!!). One more thing, WiFi sometimes has disconnected situation that means its quality in communication is poor. I hope it can be improved.

Pretty disappointing, to be honest. First the good: breakfast is varied and plentiful and the breakfast room is nice. After that it's downhill. The hotel had no rooms (yes, I had a reservation) so I was put into an apartment next door. This was very sad indeed: non-working internet (I finally gave up trying to use it), ugly broken floor lamp, old tired carpeting, unmade bed and no cleaning service on the second day. I've stayed in many budget hotels in Germany and they have all been excellent. This is the first exception to that history. Stay away.

The facilities may be good but my visit was tarnished by the staff at reception. Turned up without a reservation after an 11hour motorcycle ride in the rain. Needless to say I was tired and wet. The staff seemed offended that I would arrive dressed in motorcycle clothes. They had a room available but seemed to debate amongst themselves whether they'd give it to me. After checking in I asked where the car park was and they said there were no motorcycle bays. I said I'd pay for a car bay so my bike would be secure but again they said I couldn't use it. I was told to park it out on the street at my own risk. Overall, the hotel seemed well equipped but the attitude of those on reception left a lot to be desired

The hotel is newly renovated. Excellent breakfasts, and very helpful friendly staff. The hotel is nicely located in Duisburg, which is a hidden gem of Germany - 15 minutes by train to Dusseldorf Hbf. Strongly recommended.
