Scope Hotel Dresden Airport

I stayed here during a business trip to Dresden for few days. The rooms were clean and maintained everyday by the service. It is conveniently close to the Airport and there is a Tram stop to city just outside the hotel. The area is quiet and bathrooms are well maintained. Internet was reasonably good and there is TV in the room. Reception service is quite good.

I felt that the place was quite pricey for the size and facilities it provided. There was no refrigerator or water cooker and no toothpaste and toothbrush provided in the toilet. Water bottle kept in the room is not free (4 euros per bottle). Nevertheless do note that tap water in Germany is potable, so you can drink it.

Breakfast is not inclusive of your hotel booking, it costs 7.9 euros per day per person. It is the stand breakfast with cereals, bread, cheese, toasts, pickles, juice, milk, etc that you find in any German hotel. Also note that parking your car in their garage costs extra. But the side street is relatively empty and you can manage to find free parking there.

Lastly also note that when you check out you will also pay tourist tax for your stay which is quite common in many parts of Europe.

The place is pretty close to the airport and can be a good place for an overnight stay. The tram station is close by and there are trams plying till late night to the city centre.The breakfast served is cheap and good but lacks variety. It is suggested to ask for a room which has a window facing the rear end of the hotel to avoid noises of late night traffic and trams.

Duplicate charged me with no refund

I have written 3 emails to claim the refund of this hotel's duplicate charge regarding my booking from 16 Dec 2018 to 18 Dec 2018. u003cbook_DRS.pdf u003e

On arrival (16 Dec 2018) I have been asked to pay € 66.18 at the reception desk, which
include 62.05 (fee) + 4.13 (Dresden council tax). u003cHotel_DRS.pdf u003e, because the reception desk assistant said she has not received my payment through booking.com.

However, Booking.com has in fact charged € 62.05 from my paypal account as shown in u003cNovum Hotel.pdf u003e

The hotel has duplicated the charge on said booking. There is no response to my emails.
Would you please remind them to check and refund? Thanks in advance.

Nice, clean and budget friendly hotel. Close to the airport with good connectivity via public transport. Wifi signal very weak- hence useless. Breakfast is also fine.

The main problem, there no laundry service. If you are going to stay more than a week. It would be a problem and then you have to use public transport to get it done. Not convenient at all.

Room was clean but nothing special. Good connection with airport. Green area near if you'd like to walk or run.

Very good for the price, perfect accommodation for business trips. Tram 7 lets you quickly reach the old city as well.
