A small, very quiet museum over two floors. Lots of traditionally decorated Easter eggs, painted furniture and other items of interest. I especially enjoyed the mechanical ‘Passion of Christ’ at the end of the museum on the top floor. It wasn’t working, but there were videos showing how the scenes move; astonishing. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Dresden and exhausted by the popular museums and sites.

I loved this museum. It is a tiny place and apparently unknown in the city, but if you like toys and poppets... You have to go and enjoy!

A very special little museum. My ancestor migrated to Australia from Zittau, Saxony in 1878. Thank you for showing me so much about his life, and all the ordinary people of Saxony. A great complement to the fabulous grandeur of gorgeous Dresden!

Very interesting to see things I have seen in Transilvania, the place of my childhood. Crafting, food, clothing...all similar
