Wow, amazing experience for foodies! Set menu changes weekly, currently at 56€ per person. Open Thu-Sat evenings by reservation only, away from Dresden center. The “3 courses” are actually much more because each is made up of many items. Everything is prepared and served by the one owner/chef/waiter, who’s extremely nice. Remember to BYO drinks and glasses (water, wine, whatever).

We chanced upon this restaurant last week, booked, and enjoyed our dinner experience here so much that it will be our first choice when we next go out for a meal; booking is probably essential, though.

The concept is interesting: a fixed "three course" menu (I counted four courses, if I ignored the appetisers - which were themselves excellent) where the guest can indicate a preference (e.g. vegetarian, allergic to xxx) when booking, but otherwise simply sits back, relaxes and enjoys what comes.

The food was excellent. The owner concentrates on cooking and presenting the food - bring your own drinks and glasses (you won't go completely thirsty if you forget, though). The ingredients are all locally sourced - the meat coming from their own herd of Longhorns, other produce from local growers and, as we were told, all processed in house. The kitchen is open - you can watch the chef at work, if you like. Home-made preserves can also be purchased, but I haven't opened my bottle of Quince Chutney yet, so I can't comment other than to say that I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Wir waren hier auf Empfehlung und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Unsere Erwartungen wurden dabei mehr als übertroffen. Das Konzept, dass man sich seine Getränke selbst mit bringt und vorher nicht weiß was es zu essen gibt geht super auf und finden wir klasse.
Dadurch liegt der Fokus voll und ganz auf dem Essen, was man bei jedem Bissen spührt. Alles im allem haben wir noch nie so gut und auf so einem besodneren Niveau gegessen und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Wer eine Geschmacksexplosion sucht ist hier absolut gut aufgehoben.
