Villa am Waldschlosschen is in a beautiful building with a multi-level carriage house in back. We stayed in one of the two rooms in the attic of the carriage house. This place is situated in a beautiful neighborhood, not far off the busy part of the city and well connected with city bus, tram and even one of the hop-on hop-off bus stops being very close by. The breakfast at Villa am Waldschlosschen is excellent, with continental breakfast including a variety of selections of breads, cheeses, meats and other things. The staff is welcoming and friendly. We had a difficult time finding our way into the building at first, and unfortunately, they seem to rely on checking-in guests having a working cell phone in order to contact them during breaks or off-hours. If you are a light sleeper, be aware that we found it impossible to shut out the light in our attic room as the curtains are about 6 to 8 inches away from the wall and there are no roladens (the hard plastic roll down covers on the outsides of many windows in Germany). The walls are extremely thin. Unfortunately, we had the opportunity to listen to our next door neighbor --all night long, snoring like a freight train. We didn't get any sleep here. But if you are not a light sleeper, you will probably find this place perfect. They had parking there on site. Overall, I'd land between a 3 and 4.
