Holiday Inn Dresden - City South, an IHG Hotel

I booked this hotel for the Tesla destination charger, which was conveniently situated in the underground garage, which by the way was not for free, but for a small surcharge. One remark on the positioning of the chargers. The 3 chargers are mounted very close together, so the third car may have problems charging.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, as expected from this hotel chain.
The hotel has a modern interior. The room was OK with a fresh colourful design and of average size with a good bed.
The bathroom was small but clean with a real bath.
I only stayed there overnight, so unfortunately I didn't have time to review the breakfast nor the surroundings.
But I would definitely use this hotel next time when I'm near.

I guess I will start with the positive part of the stay, and that is that the staff is really friendly and helpful. The dinner menu is good, and the food is great. Breakfast however is not that great. There are no gluten free options available, and the breakfast is not very versatile.

The room itself is not good at all. The windows are locked and only one can be slightly, but not all the way, open. This causes a huge problem. No fresh air is getting in, and the AC caused me an awful dehydration and headache. This made my whole time in Dresden very painful, and I could not enjoy the activities I had planned to the fullest.
I payed extra for a quieter room but I guess that's not a real thing since the room was quite loud.
My sheets were also stained when I first came to the hotel, and they had to be changed when I realized it.
Lastly, there is barely any storage space available. The tiny cabinet was not nearly big enough to fit half of the things my partner and I brought for a three-night stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying more that a few nights.

Nice cozy hotel with a friendly staff. The breakfast served at the hotel offers great variety of food and very tasty coffee. The lady from the reception who speaks both Ukrainian and Russian is very helpful and always available to assist. At this Holiday Inn hotel I have experienced the true hospitality.

As a Holiday Inn loyalty program Spire member I appreciate the room upgrade. It was very comfortable, plenty of space with nice balcony. The bed was super. Breakfast excellent. And I like the neighborhood where the hotel is located. It is quiet, cosy, plenty of green. I stayed in many different Holiday Inns around Europe and the Dresden South hotel is one of the best.

We stayed for 2 nights, one before and one after a visit to Poland. The hotel was easy to find and they had a parking garage to insure vehicle security. The front desk staff was multi-lingual and excellent. They handled all our requests and questions quickly and well. The rooms were very nice, with a small refrigerator, safe, and coffee maker. The hotel was about a 5-10 minute drive to the sightseeing areas in Dresden. Overall a great stay.

Nice hotel.
Free parking at the street. And there is always place for car, so no need to pay extra to hotel.
Rooms are clean. People at the receptions are not really friendly. Just.. hm. Normal and rather strict. Feels like u already did smth wrong and talking to the teacher ????
Stayed for 2 nights and nobody cleaned the room ????????u200d♀️

The hotel stay was great for my fiancé, our dog and I. We felt safe and welcome even in this difficult time of COVID-19. The staff was friendly and useful. The room was super clean and comfortable. The packed breakfast was fresh and sufficient. We had an overall great stay.
