Bib gourmand rewarded restaurant

Operated by Mario pattis

Famous for his michellin-rewarded ;
Details shown below
In 1994, the Michelin Guide awarded for the first time a star in the new federal states. He went to the Dresden Mario Pattis, who then and now convinced with a kitchen that is characterized by a playful combination of traditional and classic elements. Adoring saxony court’s culinary creations. As a young chef, Mario Pattis rummaged through various libraries to learn more about the metropolis's former food culture. Today, he serves contemporary interpretations of what once belonged to regional haute cuisine. In addition, he skillfully integrates avant-garde techniques into classic culinary art.

Mario Pattis is graduated from the refectory of the Technical University in Dresden he completed his education. Very early and even before the turnaround, he tried hard to cook, but in the GDR ( old german ?) Demand was low and interest in refined dishes barely existed. Mario wished he could do his apprenticeship in the West and spent his wandering years in the starred restaurants he admired from afar. So he had only the initiative - and after the turn the opportunity to use his vacation for training in the now accessible for him top restaurants beyond the former Iron Curtain ( soviet , now partly russia) .

What Mario Pattis can do today is therefore largely self-taught. He was also strongly influenced by the affiliation to the Jeunes Restaurateurs, to whose executive committee team he belongs today. The intensive exchange of experiences among these young colleagues has contributed much to its development.

For many years, Mario led the kitchen of a Dresden Romantik Hotel, but since 2009, he realizes his own plans. In any case, regionality will remain a big topic and we can look forward to seeing what Dresdner will offer us in the coming years.

This restaurant is part of the VW Transparent Factory, the restaurant was mentioned during the tour, so we had lunch here. The currywurst was really good, but the coffee wasn't anything special. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice. The waitress only spoke German, so if you don't speak German find someone to translate or use Google Translate.

Terrible experience. When there's no more items on the menu/customers in the room than fingers on a hand, you could expect service to be efficient. They were rude, slow and forgot the order... + It's way too expensive.

This restaurant is a joke. Slow and arogant service. Food in a nice form but absolutely without taste. A big waste of time and money.

The tour and the resturant was just fantastic

(Translated by Google) I can only agree with one of the previous reviews. There were also two of us for the 4-course meal before the Jamie Cullum concert. A staff that was completely overwhelmed by about 40 guests and a "star chef" who tried to take care of his bussy company instead of managing the chaos in his restaurant. In addition, the chef structured the menu from the order of dishes in such a way that everything could be prepared and brought to the table in the evening with little effort.
1. Amuse Gueule - yellow nondescript mouse with white sauce
2. Asparagus cream soup oversalted with a small piece of salmon and without the promised pine nuts (forgot?)
3. Asparagus risotto with green asparagus (to fill you up)
4. manageable main course with 2 pieces of tough meat the size of a dice, unfortunately completely cold and not definable as rabbit.
5. Dessert, after the concert, white sauce (the one from Amuse Gueule?) with crumbled biscuits and pieces of strawberry in a glass.
All in all a menu with a very moderate cost of goods without major culinary art which the staff gave the rest.
In any case, we will not visit this restaurant again, as a second-class guest you already filled up with moderate, too expensive dishes.

(Translated by Google) Patis has lost his touch. More than a slip.

For the Jamie Cullum concert, we had booked the dinner offered by Patis' e-Vitrum via email for the concert. The email did NOT say when the dinner was supposed to start. The concert started at 8:00 p.m. sharp; Admission was announced at 6:00 p.m.

So we were already there at 5:30 p.m., because if the food is quick (but a 4-course menu), you could have added a walk or a cocktail. We were the first guests. But a little later, a few less more came.

It took 5 minutes for a waitress to bring the menu, another 5 minutes for a glass of sparkling wine and water and then 15 minutes for a plate with 4 slices of dry bread (for what?). So far so good.

More guests arrived at the restaurant.

By 6:15pm it had filled up a bit and another waitress started handing out starters to tables next to us - guests who had arrived much later. Then Mr. Patis came, talked to guests at two tables right next to ours and shortly afterwards also brought them starters. Our table remained empty. Around 6.30pm, waitresses started handing out soup at tables where the starters were being cleared. Until then, we still thought that it might be vegetarian food. But when it went on like this at around 6:45 p.m., we spoke to a different waitress than the one who had considered our champagne and learned that we had been forgotten. When we said this to our waitress and pointed out that we had already been there for about 75 minutes and would also like to eat, the answer came that dinner was only supposed to start at 6:30 p.m. ... but she would hurry up now. The starter came.

Unfortunately, the game with the delays was repeated with the soup, which then probably came around 7:15 p.m. We were a bit disappointed but still relaxed. At this time Mr. Patis kept going to the tables to which he had brought the food himself; He ignored other guests - unfortunately also the service.

So we had eaten starter and soup and were now waiting for the main course, which wasn't on the table until 7:30 p.m. So Weir asked another waitress again. She said they would hurry up. The main course came around 7:40pm. We ate relatively quickly and I went to the counter to be on the safe side to pay. This also took longer than necessary, as even though the waitress serving there (the one from our table...and selling the drinks to guests in a queue) had asked what I wanted and said "wait a minute". I stood 3m next to her and waited. When she still didn't have a bill for me after she had served 4-5 drinks guests, I spoke to another waitress, who did it in 2 minutes.

It was now 7:50 p.m.

I picked my wife up from the table so that we could get to the concert in the Transparent Factory (around the corner) in time. We had to do without the dessert paid for in the newer restaurant due to time constraints.

---
I have never experienced such bad service, such bad timing with a known schedule and so much ignorance in a restaurant that claims to be of high quality.
---
The food:
Starter salmon cream - boring
Soup asparagus - too salty
Main course venison - very good
Dessert - unknown

The concert started promptly at 8:05 p.m. Some guests came with us (without dessert), others rushed in at the beginning of the concert. It's just embarrassing that it happened like this.

Sorry - None.

So weit so gut.

Weir fragten also wieder eine andere Kellnerin.

---
Das Essen:
Vorspeise Lachscreme - langweilig
Suppe Spargel - zu salzig
Hauptspeise Wild - sehr gut
Nachspeise - unbekannt

u003du003du003d

Entschuldigung - Keine.
